It's not every day that Japanese folks come up and say "Sprechen sie Deutsch?" but then again, it's not the Hibiya Oktoberfest every day.

The Green Room
Poster boy for the Green Room Festival. The real thing in Yokohama yesterday was almost as wet, and nowhere near as sunny.
The Ska Flames tried hard to get the dunkee-jacket clad hipsters moving.
Brock’s little brother, shorebreak-photog extraordinaire Clark Little and the wonderful Heather Brown.

Not the best photo ever taken of me admittedly… I think I was distracted trying to figure out if it was worth the mother-of-all-kickings off Clark and Heather’s fella... to just reach over and give her a little tickle.

Ichiro
Fair play, getting down to the coast last weekend did me the world of good. This is from Ichiro's Surfin' Art.

Cider
Cider was on the lunch menu today, a little pricey, but I jumped at the chance.
This is what turned up, half a bloody centiliter of some bloody rubbish from France served in a champagne flute.
Should have known better.

My Chopsticks
Cool bit of greenery that you see more and more these days, this time up at my mate Yoshi’s bar, Gyubaton 牛馬豚 in Asagaya. Instead of going through tons of disposable wooden chopsticks (hashi) every year, a lot of bars and restaurants are now offering a discount for anyone who’ll buy their own chopsticks up front and keep them at the bar.
If you become a “My Hashi Supporter”, you pay 800yen up front for your sticks, but get a free drink worth 600yen every time you go back.
Good to see it catching on….
